I have a parent/child form. When we delete a child record the user is redirected to the child list's default page and not the edit form of the parent record. Is there something to do to correct this?

Could you describe the steps to reproduce the issue in detailes? When I remove children from their context menu, I stay on the form page.

Open the parent record in edit form.
Open the child record in edit dialog form.
Click the delete record button on the child form.
The deleted child dialog form will take you to the child's default list view not the parent record edit form.

Any updates on this? I have the same issue when they delete the related record that they have opened, it takes them all of the way out of the forms and to the related record list.
