List Forms disappear

When we try to open an existing list form in Forms Designer it is empty, even though it appears when opened through the list New Form!

Therefore, cannot edit form unless we recreate it which is a BIG headache.

Anyone have an idea?

Thank you for contacting us! Can you send me a screenshot of the empty form, including the whole window of the editor? There might be some workarounds, depending on the version that you are using.

Dear Steve,
The issue here is most likely the language preferences of the current user. You see, the form that opens in the editor has a Content Type name, which is a little different in different languages. Most likely the original form had different Content Type name (maybe Item, if language preference was English):

You can either try to rename Content Type in your selected language to the original name (used when creating the form first) or switch the language preference back to what it was before.
