I am trying to find a way to add the existing sharepoint column of "ID" ont to my form, but so far i have not been successful. Any suggestions

Thank you very much for your help, a side note on this is that the column needs to be formatted as "a single line of text"

Create a calculated column with formula:

=[ID]

Next, put it onto your form.
