Please, make sure that you do not have JS-errors in the browser console. Try to reproduce the issue in a new list. I've just tested the case with a task form, everything works fine.

I shall test that to morrow.
But regarding your screen clip, if you take away say the "Status" field in "Extended"-"View" editor for related items - it shall then be removed from the view as shown in your screen clip? ie it will then only show: Type-Title-AssignedTo-Priority etc not Type-Title-AssignedTo-Status-Priority etc

I made a new list, same issues. See pictures below - the view does not correspond to the designer.

After removing fields from the View:
