If I try to insert a "Related Items" Object with Data Source - Filtered by form field and a Lookup-Filed as "Form field" I get the following Filter!! -->

<a onclick="OpenPoppPage('https://..........

and no data is shown !!

I also tryed it with a standard Sharepoint Lookup-Column with the same bad result.

Somebody can help me?

I´m using the latest version of Designer and lookup with O365-SPO

Hi,

There're additional actions required if you want to filter the realted items by a lookup field of the parent item. Please, read the threads:

thx this solution is working, but I´m wondering why this standard functionality dosen´t work without coding.
This was actually my reason to buy your tool for not coding SPO.

- I just use your Lookup to display more then one column for selection! Why it´s not possible to set "required" as you can do it with standard Lookup-Column in SP?

- If I have a "Related Item"-List on a Form with a "Edit"-Column the "Edit-Form" is opening as a Dialog!! How to open this Detail-Form not in Dialog-Mode?

thx. for helping

Hi,

It's not a common case to filter the related items by a lookup field of the parent list. More often, users filter the related items by a lookup field pointing to a general field of the parent item. That's why particular this case requires a bit of coding.

Answering your other questions:

1. You can make a lookup column mandatory: just go to the list settings, pick the column in under list of columns and turn on 'Require that this column contains information'. Then re-add the field onto your form in Forms Designer (remove and add it again).

2. Here, you can use JavaScript to remove 'onclick' attribute of the link. Our support team can assist you with the script. Drop a screenshot of your form to support@spform.com and we will estimate the task.

Hi,

Go to the List Settings -> Columns -> pick the lookup column and make it required as any other column of the list. Then re-add it to the form in Forms Designer.
