Related Item Advanced Filtering

I just reviewed "Related Item Advanced Filter"

I just updated several InfoPath 2013 forms in use on Office 365. The forms were returning all items on open and started failing when the list reached 5000 items. I changed the data connections adding a filter to the query and now the form opens data as needed and limits queries to. 5000 item limit removed. Can this approach do the same, limit the query to avoid the 5000 item limit imposed by the view the related items are based on?

Right, you just need to pick a view containing less than 5000 items in the Data Source editor in Forms Designer and the Related Items will work fine.
