Refreshing list of available fields

If a new field is added to the list when the Form designer is open, how can i get that field to show? It seems that I have to close the designer and when it reopens, the new field will be available and that there is not anyway to "get new fields" when the designer is open, is this correct?

Best way(only) I know is to save then reconnect.

You can either switch between content types if you have multiple ones or as Greg said, re-connect to the list.
