Hi,

I have 5 multiple items in my form which consists of choice fields and quick edit mode set to none. But the problem is that i am not able to select the choice fields from the drop down in some of the related items as they are shown as plain text fields. But when i delete some of the related items from my form, the same related item which didn't work worked fine after deletion. So can u please me help me to find what the issue is?I have attached a screenshot for your reference.

Regards,
Winston.

This looks to me like an additional field for a Lookup (Currency), selected like this:

These are not editable. You need to select the main field and the other ones will be populated automatically from the Child.

For example here, I can only select Title of the Parent, but ID is filled in automatically:

Hi,
I will explain you my scenario in detail.
I have 5 related items in my form with quick edit as only which point to different lists.
Related item number 3 4 and 5 have choice dropdown fields.
Now suppose if i select a choice in related item number 3 ,the choice dropdown fields in the related items 4 and 5 become unusable(they appear as readonly textboxes).I cannot find any console errors as well.Could this be the issue with the forms designer? Is there any any limitation of no of related items to be used in the form??

Regards,
Winston.

Hmm, that is odd, is there any additional code you are using? In order to help you, I need to know as much as possible.

So, as I understand, there are 5 Lists and 5 Related Items fields, 1 for each List. Each field is linked to a different list with different columns and values are selected in Dropdown menus. So, when you change the value in one of Related Items list, other Lists get blocked and you can't edit some of the rows. Am I correct?

In any case, I would need to know more. Is there any JavaScript involved? What is the connection between 5 lists, are there any Lookups on them? What fields exactly get disabled and what is their role, what is their connection to other fields?

Hope we can help you, but we need to learn more about the problem first.
Cheers

Hi,

Yes you understood the problem correctly.
There is no relation between the five lists and all fields which are causing issue is the choice dropdowns(not lookups) and each related items point to a different list. There is no javascript involved for the related items as well.Only common thing is that all three lists use the same choice column but in different lists.

Winston.

So, I've tried to recreate this bug and couldn't. Here is my result with default Choice fields:

Can you tell me the version of Forms Designer you are using?

This looks very strange to me. For the moment, I can only recommend two things:
1) Try to make a very simple form on the same site, where you can test if the same issue appears, even if there is nothing else on the form. Something like my screenshot.
2) if possible, try to test this issue on another site. Install the latest Forms Designer from SharePoint store and see if this would happen again.

Something is definitely wrong, but I do not see any reason for this behavior. Also, you can try different browsers, they sometimes can also cause issues.
Cheers
