External Source for Related Items

Considering your form solution for one of our clients.

Is it possible to query external web service or SQL server to populate related items block with external data?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use External Sources directly, but if you can configure BCS for the database, you can use it instead - https://dev.office.com/sharepoint/docs/ ... sharepoint
