SP Form Designer Crashing

Our Company recently added this to our Sharepoint Online. I installed the forms designer client to my desktop. First if I try and open a list into form designer from Sharepoint online it won't let me. i have to open Form Designer client up and connect through there is that how it should work? Second and the real reason I am sending this is, the software crashes when using it. I try hitting the css or javascript button at the top and freezes and gives me error saying Form Designer has stopped working. I am using 3.1.5 if that helps. Please any help would be great.

Yes, a desktop Forms Designer is an only option now. What are your Windows and .NET Framework versions? You can find out by executing these commands in cmd console:

ver
reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\full" /v version

Also, try to run the Forms Designer on another computer.
