Form Design and Lookup Plus field`
Hi there
I am currently using Form Design client 3.0.8 on a document set. Some of the list items are using Lookup Plus field to allow for cascading lookups.
When I use the form the cascading component of the lookup doesn't work. It does however if we use the native forms in SharePoint 2013.
any thoughts on this would be helpful,.
Thank you
Ed Dempsey

Dear Eddie,
If I understand correctly, you are using another product for cascading lookups, not our Cross-site Lookup, correct?
Unfortunately, it's likely to not be compatible, and it's not intentional. You see, these lookups often rely on JSLink, which is only available on default SharePoint forms. If you create forms with SharePoint designer, it won't be available. Same is true for Forms Designer forms, they also do not support JSLink. And we've faced this issue with our product as well!
To work around this, we've had to develop our own solutions for Cross-site Lookup, that's the only reason our forms can support this product, but fail to support others. We'd have to write custom implementation for many other lookup apps available, and that's just not feasible.
But I can assure you, that you most definitely can achieve cascading dropdown lookups and other functionality with our product as well, and it really works best with Forms Designer, as both products are designed to work side by side and emphasize each others strengths much more when used together.
