Open look-up-value in new window

Hello,

is it possible to open the link of a lookup-field out of a form in modal/popup-window?

As standard you open the link and get to the form of the list, where the link points at. When you close this form you stay on the target-list.

I need to open the link in a modal window. When you close the window you should be on the original form again.

I hope you understand what I´m writing about and thank you for your support.

The lookup fields from the Related list opened in a dialog window.

Could you please share the screenshot of the form/page where the lookup field is located.
