I still cant get the total to work even by looking at your solution above. See below the example:

The total is being displayed as 2,349. The total is incorrect.

Hi,
Could you open the browser console (F12) and enter the following line:
fd.relatedItems(0).data('ctx').ListData.Row[0]

Expand the object and provide its content.

Where would I enter the line? I am in the Developer Tool (F12)?

Yes, open the form containing the Related Items control, click F12, switch to Console tab, and insert the code.

Its coming back as 'fd' is undefined

I assume that you open the form in a dialog. Try to open it in the main window and try again.

Could you scroll down a bit? There should be a field with Total_x0020_cost. name containing a number without symbol of currency.
