Related items - Open in app by default

Hello there

We have a small issue that I hope you can help us with.

We have a related item control in a form that has word documents in it.

We would like that when the client clicks on a document, it opens in the Word app by default. On the document library that the related item links too, that has been set (in the advanced settings), but this is not reflected in the related items control.

Please can you tell us what code we should use so that we can have that functionality?
