FormsDesigner could not be found or it is not registered as safe

Hello,

I ran into a problem today giving me this issue:

Web Part Error: A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Page cannot be displayed or imported. The type FormsDesigner.Sharepoint.FDDataFormWebPart, FormsDesigner.Sharepoint, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=xxxxxxxxxxxx1 could not be found or it is not registered as safe.

The Forms Designer is no longer in the Ribbon and all pages that use the Forms Designer to not work any more.

Also there is not Forms Designer feature anymore in the top level site feature.

Is there any fix for this?

What if I reinstall Form Designer, will the pages start to work again?

Hello,

You need to re-deploy Forms Designer solution in Central Administration -> System Settings -> Manage farm solutions. Next, run IISRESET on the WFE-servers. All the designed forms will start working properly. So you will not need to re-create them.
