'FDRedirectWithID' where does this look for the ID?

Can you tell me whether or not this function creates it's own ID variable? And what it is expecting it to be called?

I've seen some strange behaviour where this function has redirected the user to the edit form of another item in the list. I wondered if the function was looking for a local variable called ID or itemID that I am possibly manipulating via my custom code? Or does it generate this from the GetUrlKeyValue function?

Can you let me know as this would help me debug any issues.
