Contribute Users unable to add attachments in New Item Form

Hi,

We tried ticking the Show Toolbar to enable users to add attachments when creating a new item in a custom SharePoint list.


It seems to work for one SP permission group, but not the other. For the one that does not work, clicking Save does not do anything. Both permission groups have "Contribute" permissions for the list.

Hi,

Please, ensure that you applied the global settings to all groups of forms. Also, you can put a custom 'Attach' button onto your form as described in the following thread:

Thanks for replying. It was due to "Attachments" not being added to the form as well from investigation. As long as the attachments could be seen on the form after attaching, the user was then able to save.
