Hi,
I have a strange issue with adding related items to my forms. If I add related item and configure it to enable inline edit / quick edit, right now it's not rendered in that way. I always get the old style and edit is available only in modal window. But these that I have with inline editing when I hit "stop" to save changes my data disapear from grid, after I refresh site they are in.
If someone can help with this, I really don't have any idea what is going on.
Thanks in advance !

Hi,
Thank you for the question. It seems that you haven't filled-in the lookup column in quick edit mode and so all new items disappear from the parent form after refreshing.
How did you turn on quick edit mode for the related items?

Hi,
Adding:
I open form in form designer, drop the related items control, add source, enable editing, render set to client, also list that I attach like a related item have enabled inline editing, so I really don't know what is the problem. I get the "+ New" button above the list, but there is no Edit button, and I can't get editable grid.
If you can give me steps for proper way of adding new related items that needs to have inline editing enabled, and explain me that issue with lookup field, because I edit existing item in grid and after I hit stop, all items disappear so I didn't add new one. Thanks !

After I hit ''stop'' there is POST request to inplview.aspx, and I get response but there are no items, just empty JSON object. Right now list that I have use parent ID like a lookup field. So I have a form which contains related items and that related items have parent ID for lookup field. I set up that through FormsDesigner, I select Related Item, and then in Data Source properties i checked ''Filter by lookup field'' and chose it from dropdown below checkbox.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Related items control doesn't support inline editing because inline editing doesn't work in context of other lists. But as I understood, you encountered the issue with inline editing in a list view, not in the form, am I right? Because, as I said, forms don't support inline editing.
Does the form work properly now?

Hi,
Here is example of what I really have. There is a list of employees and list of departments, in departments edit form I have a related item control which list all empoyees that belongs to current department (there is a lookup column which use ID of department value). Everything is fine, they are listed properly, but when I hit the Stop button inside that related item there is no items anymore, they are saved but I can see it only if I refresh the page. That problem I have with related items that are already inside departments edit form.
Second problem that I have is that I can't add new related item and configure it to be inline editable. I can add another related item list inside departments edit form, but I can't enable inline editing for it. If that doesn't work at all, I'm wondering what is the best approach to avoid this problem.
Thanks.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused with the following:
Everything is fine, they are listed properly, but when I hit the Stop button inside that related item...
The Stop button is available in inline editing mode only. So I don't understand how you can click it if forms do not support inline editing for related items.
Could you provide a screenshot of your Edit form?

Hi, here is screenshot, sorry I hide columns and labels, but the main thing is visible. I don't really know how this related items is added, this is old stuff, I just need to fix some bugs on site, but I stuck here, and after you said that editable related item can't be part of edit form I'm wondering how is this added. I'm not able to add for example new related items in this form and enable inline editing.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hello,
Yes, you're right, quick edit mode is not supported in forms. So, I'd recommend to remove the current control, add it via Forms Designer by following instructions:
http://spform.com/office-365/crea ... office-365
And use the related items without quick edit functionality.

Ok, thanks for help and recommendation. I'll add all in this way.
Is there a plan to enable this in next releases of form designer ? I think it would be really nice to have that ability.
Thanks.
