button to grant access right

Dear all,
is it possible to grant access rights to a user directly from a button in an edit form? ie. instead of selecting sharedwith and advanced

Don't think there is an easy way to do it, but maybe, if the button starts a Workflow? But the exact case if it's possible or not is hard to say, there can be many variables.
