Automatically update display name of field when updated in list settings

If after creating a form, the display name for a column is changed via SharePoint "list settings" page, the display name in the forms do not seem to autoupdate. Instead, they keep the column title when the form was first created. Is there a way these could automatically update? Thanks!

No, you need to re-add the field to the form to update it's title.
