Filtering related items error

Sorry, Alex, Nikita - my mistake: there were two issues and i am not exactly sure which one was causing this problem -
1) the Title column in the reference list was renamed to custom name;
2) there were some extra spaces in the department list choice field on the main list.
After fixing these two the error disappeared and everything is working fine.
Sorry for wasting time, i thought i'd let you know if someone else would do such a stupid mistake next time
