Dragging and showing image on Forms + crosssite question
Hi Guys,
I've read a few articles within the forums and I can't quite understand the process of what I need to do.
What I am attempting to do is:
I have a master personnel List which I want users to fill out and drag and drop a photo into the form - ideally I want the image to then show on the form. I want this drag and drop photo to then be stored in a photo library (using the fd.updateDroppedDocuments procedure is good but I'm unsure how I can do this without using the related items option). I also only want the user to be able to drag and drop one photo.
Next I want this image to show on any related forms (using the cross-site look up).
Hope you can help? PS I've just renewed subscription - you've just got me for another year

Hi!
Please check this topic: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2152&p=6869&hilit=set+image#p6869
You are right, this functionality could be implemented through related documents.
As for the showing of the image through the cross-site lookup, you can add a Sharepoint image field, that you can populate with the URL of the image. After that, on the related forms, you can add the same div block and populate it with the URL of your image.

Thanks - This is the one I've been using as my template. However, for some reason I cannot get fields in the "Child" list to update. (see another post I made) The "Child" list is a photo Library. when I drag an image into it I cannot get the fd.updateDroppedDocuments to work? I've used this in a lot of other forms without a problem. It just seems to be if I use a photo Library???
