Link to Item is being eaten

I have a custom view that i have created and I have added this code to several of the fields: linkToItem="true"

I'm doing this because I don't use the default "Title" field in any of our lists so it's the only way to get view access to a record since MS made the decision to tie "view" only to the title field. That said, this code works fine when I use the view in Sharepoint. When I drop the view into a tab in SPF (via related items) the view links on the fields don't show up anymore. Any idea why? Is there some other way that i can get view ability in the related items grid?

I'm on SP 2013 Online.

Hi,

Please, expand View option of the Related items control and add linkToItem attribute to FieldRef elements to turn them into links. Next, set Render option in Client and save the form.
