Is it possible to have a Save and Submit button on a SharePoint 2013 List forms , just 3 buttons; Save, Submit, Cancel. Save should not trigger any validations or workflows (ignore the required/mandatory validation also), just create a new list item. Submit should do like a default form submit by checking rules and validations and triggering any workflows in the form, through desiner buttons can this be achieved.

Hi.

Unfortunately you cannot save the form and miss validation and workflows. I’d recommend to consider using approval for submitted items and check its status in a workflow e.g. if the item has been approved then continue the workflow otherwise stop it. You can set the content approval option in the List settings -> Versioning settings.
