There seems to be a form sets feature but no documentation on it.
I have been assigned the task of testing forms designer forms while default SharePoint forms are still the default form on a list. Is this possible?
Alternatively, to use one Forms Designer form which is very simple as the default, and another (the optional alternative - experimental one) form for testing?

How can this be done?

Hello, Chris!

First of all, about Form Sets. In short, Form Sets allow you to create multiple forms of the same type(display, edit or new), and then you can switch between them either using JavaScript or with Direct Links.

Check out these two articles, they describe how to create custom forms for different devices or user groups:
1)https://spform.com/groups-and-form-sets ... int-online
2)https://spform.com/groups-and-form-sets ... egular-pcs

As for testing, I would recommend to create a new list or to make a template from an existing one.

That way, you can create new custom forms and test how they work, but it wouldn't affect the work of the site. Later, you can always Export and Import an existing form.
