Hallo,

if the used Lookupfield described here: [https://spform.com/documentation/relate ... gular-mode] has one of the following properties:
- the sitecolumn is required
- the field uses "Enforce relationship behavior"

your code don´t work!

So I can´t use Referential integrity of SPO an also have to check the "required Field" manually with JS-code.

Please check this behavior (I´m using Vers. 3.1.5)

lg.

Hi!

I'm sorry for a late reply.

You can just remove the lookup field from the new form. It will be populated automatically once the parent form is saved.

Hi!

Could I clarify, did you implement the steps 5 - 8 to the related list from "New form" section? Note that the described code should be added into the Child form, not a Parent form.

If it's done correctly, the lookup field should be hidden on the dialog form after pushing "Add new item" on the parent form.

If nothing helps, please provide your Child and Parent forms (via "Export" button).

Hallo,

yes, I implemented the steps 5 - 8 to the related list from "New form" section of the Child Form!

How to attach the spform-files (*.xfds) ? If I try to add this files as attachments I get the error: "Invalid File extension"

thx.

Dear Johannes,

Please drop a link from Dropbox or any other file storage. Also, add the screenshots of your parent, child forms and the screenshot of your browser console when you add a related item (it's important to check if you have any errors).

Hallo,
My problem only exists if the parent list is empty! As soon as there is one record in the parentlist there is no problem any more.
I can´t see a difference in the Browser Console but I provided the screenshots and form data here:

I've run into this same issue and it was driving me crazy for days. I was only able to resolve it by turning off "Enforce relationship behavior" in the source list/child list. I'm hoping this is something that can be rectified in a future release of Forms Designer as not being able to have the "Enforce relationship behavior" turned on is detrimental to what we're trying to do. Is there an area or blog where we can request enhancements like this to future Forms Designer releases?

Dear Adam,

I'm very sorry you've wasted your time solving this issue. For a better understanding of your task, could you please clarify, why you need the "Enforce relationship behavior" turned on?

You can send the requests to support@spform.com, we will analyze them for sure and give you an answer.
